Ko Nam has a unique style blending Chinese ink brush painting with western techniques. His landscapes and lotus paintings are characterised by bold choice of colours, well-structured compositions, fine yet distinct strokes, all coming together in creating a powerful visual and artistic impact. His highly rated works have been showcased in the Ink Global exhibition (2017, 2021) which features top 500 artists in the world, as well as many international exhibitions in China, other parts of Asia, Europe and United States, such as International VSA Arts Festival in Washington D.C., Henderson ArtReach Project, Painting and International Festival of Inclusive Arts.

His paintings have been sold at Christie’s auctions in recent years. There are many international art collectors of his works, including private collectors and institutions such as the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and China Construction Bank (Asia).

Born in Chengdu China, Ko moved to Hong Kong in the 1990’s. ​Since residing in Hong Kong, he had numerous solo exhibition in Hong Kong (1995, 2000, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018), Guangzhou (1997), Beijing (2007) and the US (2023). He came first in the Hong Kong Abilympics in 2007 and represented Hong Kong in the International Abilympics in Japan. In 2009, he received an Outstanding Award at the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Competition for the disabled in China. In Sept 2011, he won the gold medal of the painting category in the 8th International Abilympics in Seoul with a work entitled "Flowers and Passion". In 2019, his painting “Seven Sages at the Bamboo Grove” was shortlisted for the 8th edition of la Biennale Hors Normes in Lyon, France.
